Fundraising --- Where does the money go?


We are a 100% volunteer organization. In fulfilling our mission and meeting the objectives we have set forth, we need to raise money. It is raised through the sales of memberships and, above all, at our yearly Banquet/Fundraiser.

During 2007 we funded, in whole or in part, various conservation and humanitarian projects and programs right here in Alberta, such as:

Are you a teacher? Would you like to attend the American Wilderness Leadership School?

The Northern Alberta Chapter of Safari Club International (NAC-SCI) is once again proud to be able to sponsor one teacher from Alberta to attend the American Wilderness Leadership School. It is a one week course in Jackson, Wyoming. The program content consists of Academic lectures, discussions and field trips covering Rocky Mountain wildlife, wildlife ecology, environmental ethics, natural resource management and conservation. NAC-SCI will cover the cost of tuition and travel. Interested teachers can obtain more information on the Leadership School website, and download the application form.

The deadline for applications is 4:30pm December 31 of the calendar year.
